Ever-Increasing Greatness

Ever-Increasing Greatness

Bible Verse:
“Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side” (Psalm 71:21).

Message:

God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 22:17-18 was a declaration of ever-increasing greatness: “…in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed… and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies…” Abraham was not only blessed, but the blessing extended to generations after him, from Isaac and Jacob to David and Solomon.

David, recognizing that greatness has levels, prayed to God saying, “Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side” (Psalm 71:21). Similarly, there are three primary ways to achieve greatness: being born great, having greatness bestowed upon you, or achieving greatness through effort. But as believers, we are born great when we are born again. We enter into God’s family, connected with all the riches of His Kingdom.

To experience this reality, two principles are vital:

  1. Live Beyond the Senses:
We walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). What you see is not all there is; God’s abundance is far beyond the physical realm.

  2. Declare Your Greatness:
Speak in agreement with God concerning your greatness. Just as the psalmist did, declare that your greatness will increase without limit. Whether in your job, business, or ministry, remember that greatness is in you because you’re connected to the One who is great. You’re royalty—born to rule and prosper!

Prayer:

I’m the seed of Abraham; I’m great, and of the increase of my greatness, there shall be no end. The Lord magnifies me and causes me to wax greater, move forward, and advance in leaps and bounds. My greatness is unlimited, and great grace for prosperity and superabundance is directed towards me. Hallelujah!
