Perfect And Excellent By Nature

Perfect And Excellent By Nature

Bible Verse:
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever” (1 Peter 1:23).

Message:

Excellence refers to excelling, going above and beyond, and being exceptional. However, it is a relative concept, meaning it can be measured at different stages of life. Therefore, excellence represents growth. But God wants us to understand something profound: we are not just striving for excellence—we are excellent by nature.

The Scriptures continually remind us that God has made us perfect beings, after His own nature. Once you come to the understanding of this reality, you’ll begin to walk in its light. This is why, as believers, we don’t strive for excellence; we exude it because it’s inherent in us. It’s part of our very being.

When people strive for excellence without knowing that they already possess it, they may never fully attain it because they’re trying to become what they already are. Just as a dog doesn’t strive to be a dog, and a cat doesn’t strive to be a cat, you don’t need to strive for excellence because it’s embedded in you. You have an excellent spirit because you were born that way—born of God’s perfect seed.

As a result, let this nature produce works of righteousness in your life. True excellence is reflected in walking in righteousness. You are a perfect and excellent being of a perfect God.

Confession:

I have an excellent spirit, and I produce excellence in all I do. The Holy Spirit lives in me in His fullness, causing me to walk in perfection and righteousness, and express the divine virtues within me. I function with the wisdom of God, with an excellent mind, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
